Enjoying the Richness of Nature

The Kuranagase and Ishigase rivers run through the city and there are many pleasant green parks. You can enjoy seasonal flowers and insects throughout the year. It is nice to see mustard flowers blooming on the riverbanks and water lilies floating on the pond. Many lively events are held, like the cherry blossom and azalea festivals, and in summer the Hime fireflies hover in the air. The City of Obu is rich in nature.

Every April, the banks of the Ishigase River are covered with mustard flowers stretching like carpets of yellow over the grass. Awakened by the singing of larks and breath of spring, people are all set to go walking and jogging.
