 Households that experienced a decrease in their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic (since January of 2021) may be eligible for a special relief payment of 100,000 yen.
※Households that received, or will receive ,the special relief payment for low income households are not eligible.
※The cause of the decrease in income must be COVID-19 pandemic related.
 

How to Apply

Period:February 1st 2022 to September 30th 2022
Method:Enclose the required documents in an envelope and mail.
Mailing Address:〒474-8701 Obu-shi Chuo-cho 5-70 Obu City Hall – Community Welfare Division
Items to Submit:

(1)Application form ※filled in by head of household
(2)Income confirmation form ※filled in by head of household
(3) Copy of document showing a decrease in income (payslip, gensenchoshu etc.)
※all members of the household earning income must submit these documents.
(4) Copy of head of household’s ID (zairyu card etc.)
(5) Copy of bank passbook belonging to the head of household.
(6) Copy of Juminhyo (address registration document, can be obtained at City Hall)

Income Thresholds

※Households that have income within the thresholds limits below are eligible for the payment.
※Even if your income if above these levels, you may still be eligible for the payment. Please see the income confirmation sheet for more details.

Employed with no dependents (yearly) 965,000円 (monthly)81,000円
Supporting 1 dependent (yearly) 1,469,000円 (monthly)123,000円
Supporting 2 dependents (yearly) 1,877,000円 (monthly)157,000円
Supporting 3 dependents (yearly) 2,327,000円 (monthly)194,000円
Supporting 4 dependents (yearly) 2,777,000円 (monthly) 232,000円
Persons with disabilities, unmarried persons under 20 years old, widows and single mothers/fathers (yearly) 2,043,999円 (monthly)171,000円

 If you have any questions about whether you are eligible, or for help filling out the documents, please bring items (3),(4),(5) to Obu City Hall – Cultural Affairs Department on the 3rd floor.
