What is a ‘Blue ticket’? (Traffic Offence Notification System)

A ‘blue ticket’ is issued to a driver by a police officer in the case of certain traffic violations. From April 1, 2026, the system will also apply to violations by bicycle riders. Riders issued a blue ticket will be required to pay a fine within a specified period or face criminal prosecution.
